TAIPEI, TAIWAN – Viet Tan alongside Vietnamese and Taiwanese civil society organizations will be holding a press conference at the headquarters of Formosa Plastics Corporation (Dunhua North Road, Taipei 201) at 10am on August 10th.

The organizers are calling on Formosa to release its investigative report on the mass fish kills caused by its steel plant in central Vietnam and to commit to a full clean up of Vietnam’s environment.

The press conference kicks off several days of advocacy by Vietnamese activists from Australia, United States, and Vietnam. The delegation will be meeting with members of the Legislative Yuan and Taiwanese environmental and human rights NGOs.
