Congressional Caucus on Vietnam Holds Hearing on Human Rights
Washington, D.C. – Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-San Jose), co-chair of the Congressional Caucus on Vietnam, will be chairing a Caucus-sponsored hearing on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 entitled “Human Rights Conditions in Vietnam and Suggestions for U.S.-Vietnam Human Rights Dialogue.” Reps. Tom Davis, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Ed Royce, Loretta Sanchez, and Chris Smith are also scheduled to participate in the hearing along with several invited witnesses. The hearing is scheduled to take place in room B318 of the Rayburn House Office Building, and is open to the public and press.

Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren is serving her seventh term in Congress representing most of the City of San Jose and Santa Clara County. She serves as Chair of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, Refugees, Border Security, and International Law. She also Chairs the House Administration Subcommittee on Elections and serves on the House Homeland Security Committee. Congresswoman Lofgren is Chair of the California Democratic Congressional Delegation consisting of 34 Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives from California.
