April 11, 2012

Taking place on April 13th at New York University, the International Public Service Association’s 9th Annual Conference will explore the recent events in the Middle East and North Africa and the intersection of new media and citizen-led political movements.

Titled Revolution: People, Politics and Change, this conference will explore the commonalities and differences in successful and attempted large-scale change. Discussions will look at the players, politics and stakeholders that have been at the forefront and behind the scenes of recent movements and revolutions, deconstruct the very meaning of revolution, and its implications for creating long-term and meaningful change in societies.

Joining the breakout panel Social Media & Social Change, Viet Tan’s Trinh Nguyen will speak on how new media and social networks are influencing State media in Vietnam.
