PETITION

To:
National Assembly II
Prime Minister Office
Public Security Office
All domestic and overseas media

We, the aggrieved citizens who are currently protesting at the National Assembly II, 194 Hoang Van Thu Street, Ward 9, Phu Nhuan District, HCM City, appeal as follow:

After many days of temporarily residing outside the National Assembly II, we experienced extreme hardship in seeking justice, reclaiming our righteous and lawful privileges, with absolutely no appropriate solution from the government.

The National Assembly II closed its gate since Thursday, July 05, 2007 and therefore the sanitary arrangements have become very difficult, especially for women and the elderly. In keeping with the spirit of the National Assembly’s duties in caring and serving the people, we, the undersigned below wish to appeal to:

1. The National Assembly II to open its door allowing the aggrieved citizens to use all service facilities as normal.

2. The National Assembly II to urgently intervene and protect all citizen rights in accordance with the Socialist Republic of Vietnam’s constitution so that all the aggrieved cases can be fairly resolved.

3. The National Assembly II to monitor the resolution process that the Government Interagency Investigative Board and local officials of Tien Giang, An Giang, Kien Giang, Ben Tre, Binh Duong, Dong Thap…provinces are trying to resolve for the aggrieved citizens.

We, all the aggrieved citizens wish to thank you.
