Do Thi Minh Hanh has been organizing farmers and workers and reporting on their struggles since she was 18. In February 2010, she was arrested for distributing leaflets at a shoe factory in Tra Vinh province where 10,000 workers eventually went on strike. Her health has reportedly deteriorated significantly in prison.
