Thai Van Dung is a member of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer. A resident of Hanoi, he attended citizen journalism courses hosted by the Vietnam Redemptorist News. His arrest is part of a larger crackdown currently totaling 17 human rights defenders (mostly from Vinh Province).
