Vu Duc Trung was CEO of a high-tech company in Hanoi until his arrest. From a farm outside of Hanoi, Vu Duc Trung (and his brother-in-law Le Van Thanh) had broadcast a short-wave news program called Sound of Hope documenting human rights abuses in China. Both were arrested even though Falun Gong is not explicitly banned in Vietnam.
